This began with a poem written by Robert T. Nanninga about the gardens surrounding Yoga Swami, a donation-based yoga center in the middle of Encinitas California.  While traveling around with her art, Erin would stop and spend time in this garden; painting murals and practicing yoga there.  Robert was the owner of the E-street Cafe in Encinitas and a pilliar of the artist-writing-yoga community there.  Sadly, Bob died suddenly and  while painting a quote from this poem on the side of the Yoga Swami main building in memorial, Erin had the idea to illustrate the poem and turn it into this Children's book.  It shows how asana poses were originally taken from plants and animals.  It also describes how one becomes gentle-- like a plant, like a creature of the earth, when they make an effort to connect deeply with the energy that makes everything live.  It describes physical feelings with an image or with abstraction colors, forms and movement--in an effort to encourage children to draw pictures about their own experience with yoga.
